Four different products sold under the Missing Link Extraordinary Sausage brand name and packed between 14 July and 3 October 2014 are included in the recall. These products were sold in packs of varying sizes and distributed to retail outlets in Alberta.

The recall was initiated by a foodborne outbreak investigation into cases of E. coli O157:H7 infection conducted by Alberta Health Services with the assistance of the CFIA. Four cases of illness have been associated with consumption of the recalled products.

More information about this recall can be found on the CFIA website here.
