Pasta recalled following mycotoxin detection

recalledpastaThe Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has announced that a batch of Girolomoni Organic Penne Rigata Whole Emmer Wheat Pasta is being recalled because of the detection of of an elevated level of the mycotoxin ochratoxin A.

The recalled pasta was sold in 500g packs labelled with a “best before” date of 25/06/16. The product was manufactured in Italy and imported into Ireland. Recall notices are being displayed in shops supplied with the product and consumers are being advised not to eat the recalled pasta.
